Wedding services we provide include:
The Ceremony: Songs/Tunes for background music, walking down the aisle, signing the register and/or your grand exit. In the past we’ve played tune sets, sung in churches and even followed a Bride & Groom down the aisle!
Daytime Entertainment: Need music whilst you’re drinking, eating & socialising? Want to keep guests happy whilst you’re away taking photos? We can fill the gap.
Dinner Time: Create the right atmosphere with happy background music.
First Dance: Let us make it special for you. We can learn most songs, and really appreciate the importance of this one-off moment in your lives.
Evening Entertainment: This is where we shine brightest, with sets of awesome folk & Americana songs, tailored around your preferences for the evening. Get up, dance and enjoy!
Post Band Disco: Want to keep the night going once the band's finished? You can hire our speakers and desk to plug in your i-pod or laptop. We'll even stay to manage the sound and pack down.
You book only what you need! Events tend to govern themselves, so a large ceilidh will probably need all of us, whereas you may only want a fiddler for walking down the aisle. Either way, options are available.
Yes, absolutely. We ask that requests be made at the time of booking, but will always aim to learn any song asked of us, provided we have enough notice. Just please, no Peter Andre or Barbie Girl!
Good question, you’ll probably know it better as a barn dance. Essentially a ‘caller' gets your guests up and dancing, explaining and guiding them through each dance. We, the band, then provide tunes to accompany this - normally starting slow and building up as people get to grips with the moves! It’s incredibly good fun and a perfect way to avoid ‘empty dancefloor’ scenarios, with everyone getting involved! You could even share your first dance as part of the Ceilidh.
That is certainly our aim. Andy is an experienced caller (dance leader), and has run Ceilidhs for every age-range and demographic you could imagine. We have a wide selection of dances, so will always ‘read the room’ and adjust accordingly to get everyone involved.
No, we own everything required to put on a good show. We’ll also contact your venue beforehand, so will know any specific requirements that they may have.
We ask for a non-refundable deposit, typically 10-20% of the total (dependant on distance) at the time of booking.
Us. We will arrive early, setup discreetly and make the stage look aesthetically pleasing (no wires everywhere, ruining the look of your venue!). We’ll have spoken and planned this with the venue in advance.
Typically we’re smart/casual, so shirt, tweed waistcoats, smart shoes, smart jeans etc. However should you wish us to ‘suit up’ just say and we can dress in more formal attire. We've even been known to don fancy dress on occassions (think pirates or cowboys).
We can tailor this to your exact needs. Sets of about 45 minutes to an hour work best and we'll need regular breaks for food, drink etc... Our quote will be tailored to match your requirements.
